Directly observed therapy with highly-active
antiretroviral therapy (HAART) is a very contentious
issue.
The main objections have been their high cost and the
lack of health infrastructure necessary to use them.
We here try to answer some of the most common arguments
against the use of this therapy in resource poor countries.
